Account Deletion
Web users can permanently delete their Explorz account and associated data at any time, directly from the app or by contacting support.
1. How to Delete Your Account
Web users can permanently delete their Explorz account at any time. Sign in, go to Account → Delete account, and confirm the warning prompt. Your account and associated data will be removed immediately.
If you are unable to access your account, you can also request deletion by emailing support@explorz.net from the address linked to your account with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
2. What Gets Deleted
Upon verification, the following data is permanently removed:
- your account profile and authentication credentials
- saved trips and AI-generated itineraries
- uploaded memories, photos, and recap content
- expenses and budget records
- shared trip links you created
- preferences, settings, and personalization data
3. What May Be Retained
For legal, security, and operational reasons, the following may be retained:
- anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot identify you
- billing and payment records required for tax and accounting compliance
- limited records needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes
- encrypted backups, which are purged on a rolling schedule
4. Timeline
Deletion requests are typically acknowledged within a few business days. Full removal from active systems is generally completed within 30 days, with residual copies in backups purged shortly thereafter.
